Need opinion about Door speakers
Hey all, I got a 95 GS 300 and about to purchase all my electronics!!
I have a pair of 5.25 infinity Kappa coaxials which i'm thinkin of putting in the back.
Should i put 5.25 Infinity kappa components in the front and spend 160+ dollars on them or just buy coax and put in the front for 100$
This will all be powered by and Alpine MRP-F450 100x4 at 2ohms
Let me know guys!!!

Perfects would be far too expensive. Kappas comps are too expensive too!! But i'll prolly go with them.
HOW are componentsbetter?? How will they differ from Coax...
Yes, i probably could fit 6.5s but it would require far too much work!! The original baffle is made for a 4inch speaker and i put my 5.25 coax kappa in the slot and it didn't fit so i'd prolly have to dremel the slot to make it bigger. People have said i'd have to make a new baffle to make the 6.5 fit.

Most people think that components are better simply because you can separate the tweeter from the mid-bass driver. Actually, this is one of the least important features as far as I'm concerned. Here are the other better reasons:
1) The tweeter is ALWAYS better in a component set as opposed to fixed coaxial. Its bigger and handles way more power.
2) The crossover network (even if its very basic) is much better as well. It not only caps off the tweeter but also provides your mid bass driver with...well...midbass as opposed to full range information.
3) Most components can handle alot more juice than a coaxial set (I say most because there are some kick-*** coaxials out there that would walk all over a cheap set of components). The crossover produces more heat and thus requires more power to make the speakers sound better (and louder without clipping).
