A few weeks ago I was driving and listening to the FM radio and heard a pop, kinda like a wire breaking nothing too loud. Anyway, the FM radio cut out. The AM, CD, and Tape all work but not the FM, power is still there and can change stations but no sound. About a week later my car started having problems being started. Took it to the local Toyota dealer and they just said it was a bad battery, (5 year warranty, halfway into the warranty). I am wondering if what I heard might have been a ground or something that is now draining the battery when it is off.
The radio is the factory premium with a 6-disc changer in the trunk.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
