keep the wood or go black?

I'm just a fan of a really clean wood install. I say keep the wood. Nice install by the way. I think it just gives the car a more upgraded feel rather than just plastic. Is that the original wood or a wook kit, if so where can I get one and how much??? If you don't mind me asking

you cannot buy the kit on the market i made this from a plastic veneer. most high end car installers will have this. we use this product on sub boxes for inlays between leather and fiberglass to give definition and class for high end vehicles. it comes in a 3x4 sheet and cost is like 18.00

Good looking out, and also again great looking install. I also plan to do some custom work to my 92 LS but I like the look of the wood. To me it just keeps it simple and classy and the equipment adds a shock value when people realize what you have in there and how clean the install looks. Your letting me know about the veneer will help me to start my radio customizing reality. Thanks again. Look out world!!!!! The Trukn1 is on a roll now!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

Err it would definitely look cleaner if I had wiped off my fingerprints before taking a picture.. Here's another picture... try to imagine it nicely wiped clean I'd still like to see some of that plastic veneer stuff. I'm not sure if it would look good against a silver head unit like mine though. Does it come in a darker finish? I'm not 100% satisfied with the black finish I have. You can see that the black isn't a perfect match. How did you mount the screen?

I say keep it PVS
Looks very good and matches with the ash tray.
Just wondering though-could the stereo recess a little back more? It's somewhat protruding.
But nevertheless, very nice, almost stock

I think you should keep the wood. It looks more upscale and breaks up the overwhelming black everywhere else.
I would love to do the same on a planned mod I am doing in the same spot in my GS.
Here is a pic of someone else's GS with the Nav system I plan to install. He has put in leather around the nav, but I would love to have wood there instead of the standard black plastic finish it comes with.
Here is a pic of my car without the nav. I would love to have that center section match up with my ashtray (after I remove the NAK Hu and replace it with the nav in the pic above.

Hameed, somehow on the gs adding the wood trim for the stereo doesn't look good. It looks overkill though.
Maybe b/c of the climate control piece that is missing the wood also. Don't know how or why, maybe I haven't seen a good example yet-just can't put my finger on it
Just my opinion.
