Just installed the new Pioneer AVIC-Z1 and replaced the Pioneer navigation screens with a custom version that blends with the Z1 motif. And, yes, my GS4 is Millennium Silver. I also have a matching screen for the audio side of the head unit. PM for full-res versions and instructions for loading.
By default, the Z1 displays its cluttered buttoms on all screens. Use the Hide button to turn that crap off and use the hard buttons to control the audio devices. This puts the GS screen up and the unit looks like a stock unit. It fits virtually flush until the screen swings down for a disk. At full-resolution, the logo and type should appear suspended in front of the background.

Here is what worked for me on loading replacement screens for the AVIC-Z1:
1) Created a jpeg 2592x1304 (I used 8-bit color at 300 dpi);
2) Put the images into a Pictures directory on a CD-R burned with no updating;
3) Also included 100mb of other data in a separate directory on the CD;
4) Loaded the disk into the unit;
5) Selected Navigation -> Settings-> Background Pictures;
6) The Z1 will prompt you to select your jpegs for the Navigation and Audio screens.
I've posted the high-res images for audio and navigation in the CL gallery:

Thanks for posting this! Your jpeg looks awesome! I wonder, will this also work for the AVIC-D1?
