Default Factory Headunit display problem

Hey guys I own a 1997 Lexus ES300 and the only problem with the car is the fact that the factory headunit display is jumbled and distorted. Every so often the display will be fine but it will always become distorted again after a short period of time. Has anyone else run into this problem before? Is there anything I can do or a professional installer do to fix this problem? I'm getting a system and would like to keep my stock headunit and cd changer if possible. Thanks

The problem might be the LCD screen itself.

best thing to do is replace the entire deck with another OEM deck, rather than replacing the screen.

And the installation is much easier than opening up the deck.
