I put 6.5" front and rear using baffles or adapters I made. They are Polk Audio DB65 and DB650. You can look them up on the Polk Audio website to get the specs. No clearance problems and they are pretty deep. I think DaveGS4 has 7" all around and they are really deep. If in doubt, remove a door panel and with the window down measure from the inside door shell to the glass. If you are using baffles add the thickness of the wood but leave yourself at least 1/4" clearance to the glass.

I'm using a 3/4" baffle and my mids' mounting depth is 2.80"

It doesn't hit the glass but due to the way the glass is curved, it'll only touch slightly on the back of the mids if you roll down the windows 3/4th of the way, and then slam the door. Of course I dont slam my doors so I have nothing to worry about.

I could have added another 1/4" to my baffle so I would have no clearance issue, but then my mids are closer to the grill. Then again, I just got finish modifying my grill because the stock grill was very restrictive and the reflection drowned out my lower midrange

I have stock speakers in the back, but they are disconnected. I absolutely hate rear speakers
