I have an 04 RX330 and I have 2 master keys. However only 1 of them will start the car, both fit in the cylinder and turn correctly, etc. So I figured that I needed to get the car to recognize the key transponder. I have tried the procedure as shown on page 76 .pdf]here but the car doesn't seem to be in programming mode. I am turning the key from off-on-off 5 times and not sure how long to stay in each position, but when it is on, I normally wait for the gauges to light up. Then I do the driver door 6 times, pull the master out, put the new key in and turn it to on. The light in the center part of the dash (near the stereo, below the nav) just continues to flash as if it does not recognize the key. I have waited for minutes and it does not seem to make any difference. Just not sure what else to try. Any ideas or tips on how to make this work? Could it be the battery in the key, or something wrong with the key itself?
