Has anyone mount the Infinity Kappa as a free air replacement for the ML sub. I did a search found that most have them in a sealed enclosure. I am thinking of replacing my Memphis 10" Box with the free air Kappa Series. The are rated at 175watts as free air my amp is rated at 300 but I have a remote gain control in the front . Cliffud I did get it working and it sounds great. My only problem is building cutting out a baffle to reattach the to existing holes in the deck. Right now it fits perfectly dropped in. I have the Sub being pushed by the Memphis amp. The Sub can only handle 150w as free air in which I have the gain turned 1/2 way. But I love the sound, more punch more boom and not much space taken up.

Awesome man. That's good news to hear. I'm thinking of doing the same to free up some trunk space. It's just a hassle to get it done right myself and I don't want to pay some shop to have it done poorly.

Yeah. That's why I haven't been into the trunk or back seat of my car in a while either.
