Default Eclipse 7002 LCD and brain question

I was just wondering if any of you guys owned an Eclipse 7002 head unit. I just picked one up, but it seems like the wirings is all cut up. I was wondering where can I pick up a set of the harnesses. Eclipse harness are pretty hard to get at and I was wondering is it possible to go to a shop and ask for it? I own a 92 SC4. I hope some of you guys can help me. It looks like the brain harnesses are cut up and short and the LCD has no harnesses at all. Thanks in advance!

you need the older eclipse harness, they changed their harnesses back in like 99 or 2000. you also need the harness for the parking brake.

you should be able to go to an eclipse dealer and order them through them. what part of CA are you in?

I am in Northern Cali. Bay Area. Damn, so what should I do? Go to the Eclipse dealer and have them ordered? How much would it cost? I am really anxious to put it in, but I believe that is all I need; those harness.

yeah there are just two harnesses on the brain of the unit. the monitor has a cable that plugs into the brain, and that's permanently connected to the head unit.

yeah just find an authorized eclipse dealer (not circuit city, like a real car audio shop) go in there and tell them your dilemma. they should be able to order it for you. if you can't find a place that will do it for you, let me know and I might be able to work something out with the shop i work for.

Alright, I finally got the big black wire that connects to brain and monitor. I did the whole wiring harness thing and BAM.... it wouldn't turn on. I checked the ground and power, it is all crimped well and hard. Any idea how come it wouldn't turn on? Do I need an amp to turn it on or something? Please help me

Ah, found out it was a grounding problem. I got it to work now, but theres one more thing that makes me shake still. When pressing the video button to play a video, it asks to pull up my brakes to view screen. How do I overcome that? How would I make it work, with or without the e-brake. I can hear my DVD, but I cannot view it. Would you know the solution to this 88supramk1? I hope this process doesn't hurt an arm or a leg. Any help will do. Should I ground the remainings?

oh, there is 2 wires coming from the brain that is not in use. Hope that helps.

you're supposed to ground the red wire with the white stripe to be able to view DVD while you're driving.
