Dynamat going out of business makes as much sense as Honda going out of business.

Dynamat is huge and expensive. All their profits has to go into someone's pocket .

Plus they're sold in retail stores and a lot of people buy it there because they dont shop online for sound deadening material.

I need to buy either dynamat or equivalent sound deadning material. Where would be a good place to buy that, because i looked at best buy and it was like $130 for the big roll. Any ideas?

eDead is another very good sound insulation material - much better than dynamat. You can buy it on ebay. Just do a search for eDead.

Try SecondSkin. They're cheaper than Dynamat, and works just as great, if not better.

Take a look at this link: www.sounddeadenershowdown.com

The test was performed by an independent third party individual with hardcore facts.

Pouring "specially formulated" road tar into a small square and charging $15 to $25 per square is not a way to go out of business. They'll be around forever.

Hushmat is also another good alternative. I am using a ton of it in my SC. Its poly/butyl based - not tar based.

A lot of people have gone that route, but in the end, it takes even more of those roofing material to be effective as say dynamat. Not to mention, the adhesive wasn't made to handle the car's interior, unless applied to the floor.

I went that route when I first started and I regret it because it's such a mess and a waste of time and money
