any pics? ? ? still waiting. . . anyhow, anyone have any suggestions as far as which sub to go with? ? ? several seem to have the 10 jl-ib4 or 12 jl-ib4but it's been discontinued. . . btw, if i can only afford to do a custom set-up, i'd do something like DaveGS4. . .

So I am thinking of replacing my stock sub also on my non ML GS. What does it take to get the old one out? Do the back seats and all trim need to be removed? or can the grill cover be lifted out from the top deck to access the speaker?

I like the install.
Have a few questions!
I did not use this setup only becuase a friend of mine used this same setup in his acura and the sub shook so much it broke his rear glass. Have you had any issues with that? Does anyone have any knowledge or experienced this in their gs? I am considering changing my setup and considering this option.

yes, the kicker c10 can be used in infinite baffle system(free-air system).
BTW, would it be alright to just get a slab of mdf, cut a hole the size of the stock sub location and just place that on the entire rear panel with the stock hole still exposed?
that way the sub can be bolted through the cut hole and the slab can be bolted to the rear panel.the dynomatted all round .
would this be another/better option?

If you mean you want to basically sandwich a piece of mdf against the bottom of the rear deck to stiffen it immensely, that would be perfect-- if you can actually get the sub to mount well from the top--
A baffle is a great idea to cut down on rattle and stiffen up the deck, just be sure to sandwich carpet pad b/t the baffle board and the bottom of the deck--
Fixing the baffle with bolts or screws around the perimeter would greatly stiffen the structure too-- I would think the baffle should be twice as wide as the sub -- or as wide as you can possibly make it--
