No Sound from the CD Changer
Hello guys, I've tried to look all over this forum but couldn't find any discussion related to my problem so I'm posting this thread to see if anyone had the similar problem with their Lexus Sound System. Everything seems to work fine but when the CD changer is turned on, I don't hear any sound, nothing!! no static, no hi low pitch sound or none of that. This only happens when I try to listen to the CD player, everything else is normal, The AM/FM radio is working perfect, the CD loads fine, the display shows track/disc#, and track time and everything. JUST NO SOUND....
Today I purchased a new CD Lens Cleaner and cleaned the system but no change.
The vehicle is 1998 GS 400 with NAk System.
Any help will be appreciated.

glad to share my expertise. your system has a nakamichi equalzer behind the glove box. this time of year if your drainge tube for the ac is backed up it could zap the equalzer. so check to see if its wet behind the glovebox. the equalzer is 4 x6 x2 inches and has a nakamichi sticker on it. flollow w the cable coming out of the cd changer blue square port next tto the 10 pin plug and it will lead you to the equalizer. any nakamichi equalizer will work but its best to use the one for your model if it has to be replaced. they are 900.00 at the dealer but they usually sell for 125.00 used.
