Question!!!
Hi, I just have one more quick question. I found a jl audio ib4 free-air subwoofer for $120, that was the cheapest I could find it for. Then I found a Pioneer vccs free-air for $62. The pioneer will take 250 watts and the jl audio only can take 100 watts. I want the jl cuz that name sounds loud. But wouldn't I save more money, get more sound and power all from the Pioneer????? Someone please help me out here. I already have a 200 watt amp for the sub but I need to pick one for my gs300. Thanks!

Amp Info
Genius - An IB4 will handle 100 wrms & 250 watts peak but it's only available in an 8 ohm impedance. The Pioneer ( I'm guessing it's the TS-W253F 10" ) will handle 140 wrms & 400 peak but it's a 4 ohm model. What R the specs on the amp that U already have? By that I'm asking if it makes 200 watts per channel or total wattage into what impedance load? If U don't have that info, just give me the brand & model number & I'll look it up as best I can. I've heard both woofers & am partial to the JL myself because it's tighter. Gotta match the sub & amp for things to work well.

Go With the Pioneer
Genius - If that's the amp U plan on using, then the Pioneer should be your choice. Your amp will make 200 wrms ( bridged ) into 4 ohms but only 100 wrms into an 8 ohm load ( like the IB4 ) so that really won't be enough power to do it justice. Bridge the amp & put it on the 4 ohm Pioneer free air woofer. Enjoy!
