Default replacing stock amp and stock sub LS400 ?

hi ! i own a 1991 Ls400 and i am about to change my sound system. First, i was wondering is it simple to change the stock nakamichi amp and sub for new aftermarket one ? i saw some pretty good deals on amp and 8'' sub lately but i dont know how hard is to change them ?

do you guys have any sub to recommand ? i know it has to be below 40W i think, but thats kinda low ? i dont know much about sound system, but i want something that sounds better than stock sub.

i also want to keep it to the stock location, i mean i dont want any box.

ive checked the tutorial for changing the sub and its saying that we have to keep it below 40W but is that only when we keep the stock amp ?

any advice will be appreciated.

thanks
