Help ASAP Please: stereo indash install
I'm in the process of puting my Pioneer In Dash cd/dvd Player in my car. I have the whole cd player and so on pulled out and need some help. I bought the harness that plugs into 1 of the 2 harnesses that controls all of the power and it also has a set of RCA preouts for the amps to get sound. My question is this - what is the other harness for that has just 2 wires on it and why am I not getting any sound with the new cd player? Please help asap.

Unless you have some special harness I do not know about, you have to do a complete amp bypass. The factory amp relies on the factory head unit to control the volume. Unlike a normal amp, this one will not adjust itself based on the input voltage of the RCA's or low level in. Volume is controlled by a special wire that links the factory head and amp in a handshake between the two.
