3GS Speaker Help !!
I have a 3GS, and was wondering about installing a sub. I was thinking about adding it to the factory setup. What do you stereo guys think ? I like bass, and want to add more. I dont want anything that will annoy the next car, just a bit more than i already have. When i had my 4Runner, i heard there were problems adding aftermarket products. I also heard the wiring was somehow proprietary, and splicing in new connections was tough. Just want to get some experienced input.
Thanks guys

it's not bad at all. depending on whether or not your stereo has an output for a sub or not will make a bit of a difference but not much. if it does, then you're set. get a sub/amp combo or separate and it'll be set. if not which i don't think it would this is what you'll have to do. get the amp/sub separate or combo once again, a line level converter, and then splice the line level converter to your rear speakers (least that's what i did). all you'll need is an amp, speaker, installation kit makes it easier which are cheap on ebay rather than retail since they have Huge mark up. i took mine to be installed professionally and it cost 55 bux (which is really inexpensive for this kind of thing and took 1.5 hours). unless you also know how to wire it to your ignition (which i didn't) then i'd recommend having it installed for you.
