We SC guys get the shaft in regards to install kits. I searched high and low until I just made my own "kit" for my W200. Only way to get that OEM look unfortunately for us.

You find the 2 plugs that come out of the factory amp behind the glove box, and then use a Toyota wiring harness, extend the wires a couple feet and connect them to the harness for the head unit. The only wire that wasn't in those 2 factory amp plugs was a switched +12v, but that can be found in the factory radio harness.

So good job Treimche. Now you can easily add Sirius, Sirius Traffic, and the forthcoming Sirius Weather to your Alpine!!!

I'm sure the Toyota one looks good too, but I bet it doesn't have the trim ring like this one to make it look like that. Even though this dash kit is all plastic, when the deck is mounted in it, and it's mounted in the car, it's very sturdy. Not to mention since I got this kit through my work, it's very cheap for me.

I didn't spend anything as I did it all myself. All I bought was a fresh can of bondo and that's it.

It does all those things but for nav you need to buy an additional box.

And that box would be the lovely NVE-N872A. If you wish to see it in action Acura is using a customized version of that in their new cars.

Or you can add Alpine's new portable nav unit, the Blackbird.

So, you'll get to add a fully functional nav system, controllable via the W200 via touch screen, for about $700. Plus, remove it from the dock station and bring it to your friend's car when you don't wanna drive your ride...
