You don't mention your budget, which is probably the single most important part of selecting speakers. The following views expressed are the opinion of this member and should not be taken as a reflection of this board as a whole...

If your budget allows, Focal. Expensive, but awesome speakers.
Next step down: MBQuart or Boston Accoustics. Their mid line is still great for the buck spent. Infinity are up in this area.
Sony, Pioneer, Alpine, etc all make nice speakers for the budget minded. But they are hardly what I would consider top of the line.

oh, i've already purchased them. I think im going to make a new thread about the system and how it turns out. The biggest question I have now is about the amp. Have you ever seen a speaker output setup quite like this one?

Nope. Not very often. Only on lower power amplifiers. I don't think it will be a problem, but now you're forced to solder wires together. Not something I'd like to have to do, but not a big deal.

soldering isn't a big deal at all, in fact, I do all my installs that way. No butt connectors here!. Is 130w RMS considered a lower power? It's not 1000x1 or anything, but I figured I would need better than 16ga wire for that. I'm using 14ga wire to run through the doors to the rest of the components. Hopefully this harness won't become a bottleneck.

That's the interesting part. No. 130W RMS isn't what I would consider low power at all. And with the huge power and ground contact points, I would have expected individual connection points for the speakers as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The manufacturer probably wouldn't have used wire that wasn't up to the demands of the amplifier.
