Default License Plate Backup Rear View Color Camera No Drill

i am in the market for a back up camera and came across this on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/License-Plate-Bac...QQcmdZViewItem
has anyone ever tried this?
what do u guys think about it as an option for not putting the back-up camera in the trunk keyhole.
i think its nice and am considering this for my eclipse unit.
can anybody comment on the quality of this item from its des ription(color, etc)

you're gonna have to use the eclipse camera for the eclipse unit, if you want the auto reverse and such.

if you just want a camera to look behind you, you might be able to hook it up to the VTR mode. otherwise you're done, and eclipse is the one you need.

IF....you're feeling in the mood for some modification, PM me and I'll get you the pin configuration for the eclipse cam. but you're on your own as to converting from an RCA to the eclipse need.

from the ebay description...

"EZ Install" means... "EZ Uninstall" too...

If you put this on your car, I wonder how long you'll have it before someone steals it.

Allen wrench screws. Not many people wander around with them. A normal phillips or flathead screwdriver, sure. But the allen head wrenches can be tricky. Especially once you mix metric and SAE sizes.

yeah but if you live in a neighborhood where you park outside - someone could come back after having already seen that a screwdriver wouldn't work. i think the stealth mode in the key hole is the best idea.

yeah i'm worried about the theft issue as well. i just saw on the news about a cadillac dealership that had a thief steal all the oem reverse cameras off all the escalades that had on the lot. as a result the dealership will now only install the cameras into the cars after they have been sold.

Or get pin in security screws that requires a torx 15 security socket. I use them to fasten my eclipse hu to make the theft even more difficult. They will break something anyway but to slow them down.

The best ones are the eccentric bolts. They look almost completely round and smooth, but with a slight oval shape to them. Plus they're not thick enough for a pair of pliers to get at them. Just don't lose the tool!
