Default aftermarket dvd player changer

i am getting the eclipse 2545 but also love the way the stock system has a 6 cd changer.i also want to avoid taking out the nav disc when i need to watch dvd's so i am looking into getting an external dvd changer connected to the eclipse unit.
i found this on mp3playerstore.com(gotten stuff from them b4)
http://www.mp3playerstore.com/stuff_...d/DVP-6808.htm
so, here are my questions
1.will it work with the eclipse unit?
2.does anybody know if this would fit in the glovebox to replace the stock pioneer 6cd changer?
3.also will i be able to control the changer through the eclipse unit?
4. does any body know of any other similar option?

any input is appreciated guys
thanks

Get the pioneer unit. I'm too lazy to look for who exactly, but there is a board member who can modify the stock Pioneer changer to work with any Pioneer changer controller.

Default yeah

i read about that but the pioneer nav unit can't play dvd's or can he modify the changer to play dvds?
what i want is an external dvd changer connected to the nav unit so i don't have to keep swicthing nav dvd for regular dvds each time i want to watch a movie.
even the aftermarket pioneer nav units don't play dvds except for the z1 which i can't afford.

Not sure how many DVD changers are out there. I'm not finding many. Clarion and Sony come up. Might look into that realm.

To turn the stock CD changer into a DVD changer would require a lot of time and money. Not even remotely worth it.

Incidently, the changer you linked is what I have. I'm just so-so about it. No, your eclipse unit won't control it, but the video will come through just fine if your unit allows that kind of input.

there are ones out there, but they're usually brand specific. eclipse will only control eclipse....it's just the way it is.

Default hey

will call eclipse to see if they have a dvd changer. cos i would really like for the dvd changer am hooking up to the eclipse unit to be controlled by the unit itself. if not i might just go with the one i have in the link and position the red-eye where it can be controlled by the remotr control..
that i guess is an OK solution.
BTW AZ-GS300 what is ur audio/ video setup with that unit in ur car. do u have any pics?
