I goofed. Went through a carwash with antenna up. Got bent to the right of the car. Was able to straighten but it will not go all the way down. I want to keep up the look of the car. How much should I expect to replace or repair. I don't want to get taken.
Thanks
Thanks

Normally I would tell your butt to "search" cause this is very common with SC's
Get on ebay, buy one of those $15 antenna replacement deally-jobs.
when you get it...
~Remove the entire antenna motor and broken antenna assembly from car.
~Open the the part of the motor where the plastic antenna cable "coils up"
~Remove antenna and cable with any broken bits (gotta get them all out)
~Remove little silver looking "collar" from antenna (needs to go on new one)
~Put cover back on motor assembly. (you now have a empty antenna assembly)
~Put back in car (empty), hook all crap back up (wirz'n'stuff)
~Measure the length of your old antenna cable (plastic line with teeth)
~Cut the new cable at the end to match the length.
(if you don't match the length you'll have too much and get a lovely grinding sound when ever the antenna reaches "all-the-way-up or down") I don't care what the guy on ebay says, the lengths are off.
~Get a buddy and have him turn the car/radio on (you have to hold the antenna)
~Put collar on opposite of how you took it off the old antenna (slide up from cable end to antenna
~While the radio is on (antenna would be up normally) feed the cable in till it stops. Make sure the teeth are in the right direction (facing in towards the coil up area of the antenna motor) Also slide collar down antenna to antenna mount of car, light push it in (antenna will seat when it goes down.)
~Then turn the Car/radio off, the motor will automatically take the rest of the antenna/cable all the way down and "seat it" in the housing.
~Turn the Car/radio back on make sure it works right. Antenna should go up as normal.
Very easy!
