How do I wire up new front component speakers on my GS4?
I'm replacing the front speakers in my GS4 with some Infinity Reference Components - how do I wire them up? I know the tweeter wires into the crossover and the mid wires into the crossover - so which wires do I hook up to the crossover that comes from the stock amp?
I'm new at speaker installs so be very very specific please.
Also, if I wanted to disconnect the stock sub in the rear deck do you just unplug the speaker wire or is there another way?
Thanks for the help!
Scott

Tweeter wire into tweeter section, midrange wires into midrange section and if it's like most crossovers there is only one more section and that's the input which will be connected to the amplifier.

The speakers are mounted in a pod. There are two wires that connect to this pod. These are the wires from the amp. Run these wires to the Input on your crossover. Wire the mid/woofers to mid section on crossover. Wire tweeters to the tweeter section.
Just a note. Unless you're planning on using 4" midbass drivers in the stock pods, anything bigger will not fit. You will need a custom baffle board made to mount the bigger speaker.
