Can someone lead me in the right direction for disabling the NAV, PHONE, DVD and screen options when driving. I have a 2006 GSAWD fully loaded and want to re-wire the sytem so I dont have to worry about this.

Default hey

if u want to enable the features whiling driving you have to ground the parking brake wire so it fools the system into thinking you are parked at all times.
hope this helps

Am I to understand you don't want the Nav system to function while you're driving?

I'd like the Nav to still work, everytime i start to drive, the functions like typing in an address or dialing wiht bluetooth or even watching a movie always disengage when the car knows i am driving faster than 10 miles per hour. I was told that I could disable this somehow. I love the NAV and its features but as soon as i start to drive, i cant chage the address or look at other addresses as soon as i begin to drive.

Thanks

It's a safety feature that's been built in to prevent accidents. I'm guessing there is a tie in to the vehicles speed sensor. You might be able to disable this safety feature by cutting the appropriate wire, but you might limit the effectiveness of the unit.

depending on the system and what car you have it may differ. generally you just need to find the parking brake wire and connect it to ground, this will make the system thing that the parking brake has been set there for allowing you to manipulate the navi while you're driving.

The Menu > Volume > TL, BL, TL override doesn't work for you?
