if im playing any music with a decent bass line loud for more than say an hour and a half, the music will start to cut out intermittently.

anyone else have this problem?

im willing to bet its the factory amp getting too hot and then clipping. i checked the amp in the trunk for temperature and sure enough, it was plenty warm. if it stays cool, im certain the music will be fine. now....how to keep it cool??

i was contemplating getting an aftermarket amp/sub setup. is it ok to run the aftermarket amp using the hi level leads from the stock amp? will it make my factory amp run cooler or will it not make any difference.?
