Default avic gps antenna

for those of you that have installed the pioneer avic, where did you put the antenna. if you put it outside the car where did you route the wires? thanks.

why would you want to put it outside.
it can get stolen or damaged.
just put it on the front dash or like on the panel at the rear where the sub is.
signal should be more that great at both locations.

from what i HEARD, MECP actually recommends putting the antenna on the inside of a vehicle. again this is what i HEARD from my co-worker.

i put it right ontop of my radio, like under where the vents are, works fine and i have full service

i put mines like an inch away from one of those two sensors on the dash.

yeah same deal, just curious where people put their antenna, doesn't matter if it's pioneer or not.
