Since i got NO responses looking for a factory speaker(or cheap alternative) i bought a pair of CRYSTAL CMi 615's on ebay.they were less than 1/3 the price/pair vs.a single factory spkr from the dealer.(as long as they will work i don't care if they are great).they are 6.5in/4ohm/75watt and the guide says they will fit but i am concerned b/c the dealer said his book showed the speaker in a built-in enclosure in the door.does anyone know if this speaker will work and if it can be easily installed in the door of my 2001 LX 470 w/Mark Levinson sound system? it is a midrange/midbass component speaker so what other issues are there.surely these are not individually amplified or are they?do they have individual external x-overs?please help if you have any knowledge re-this speaker system.my current speaker is blown and rattles and i want to fix it as cheaply as possible(w/out just disconnecting)HELP

I had similar problem. Bought pioneer 6.5'' and Best buy installed it for $41.
Cheap but works for me. I am not the party type guy ......

Thank you for the response-i am not interested in winning a car audio contest-just listening to rattle-free music at normal volumes on an upcoming 7hr.trip.===addendum===Anyway i got it put in today w/some necessary customization b/c the speaker didn't really fit the enclosure but i made it work and it sounds great-actually much better than the other factory crap so now i need to replace it but at least now i know how
