BATTERY TERMINALS: Silicon ?
Hello CL,
I have thumb-clamp battery terminals under the hood and my audio power cable screw keeps wiggling loose.
I want to use Silicon Gel to lock the screw in place because JB Weld is too permanent. Does anyone know if Silicon is heat resistant? Is there another solution?
Thanks in advance,
Darius
I can take a photo tomorrow if needed.

Use Threadlocker -
Loctite or Permatex makes it, get it at H/Depot or Lowes or Pep Boys.
FYI, silicone sealer will be heat resistant. The "black' colored GE silicone will hold best. Not recommended over threadlocker though. Maybe use threadlocker on threads, then overcoat with silicone!

BTW, I bought threadlocker RED, the permanent one, so I shouldnt EVER have to worry about the threads loosening again.
