any 10 inch sub. you need a free air sub tho from what i've researched. someone explain why can't you put a regular sub back into the factory spot? the factory sub isnt a free air sub is it?

Default This is what I don't want ...

I saw this post ...

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ight=kicker+10

and I want a sub that BOLTS right in the stock location. It seems this sub fits but you have to use zip ties to mount it in.

So ... of "any 10" free air will do" which brand will actually bolt into place and you wire it up and you're done! Anyone know? Thanks,

Scott

there are no subs that will bolt on. all subs are round mount, our stock subs are 4 hole square mount. you have to meke a kit or have it look like the zip tied one. whatever you do go with a air free sub or you might as well stay with stock.

Okay ... well, can you make a baffle with a little 1/4" or 1/2" MDF that bolts into the stock holes with the speaker bolting into the MDF? I just made baffles for the door speakers and this worked very well.

Would this clear all the rear decking and have the deck go down?

Are there any instructions in the forums on this or something similar to replace the stock sub? I've done a search and couldn't find anything.

enjoy

be aware though, the rear deck isnt very thick so any extra heavy pounding will make the deck vibrate unless you reinforce it

So can I replace the existing ML sub in my 02 GS and use the same wiring and ML amp? I don't have to add another amp do I?

not a good idea. stock sub is 2 ohms and low wattage. you might blow something. are you trying to up grade the sub for more bass?

My sub now is blown. I'm just trying to replace it as easy as possible without buying another amp or spending over $300 for the stock speaker replacement.
