Need to know how (if) I can access a POI while driving. Here's the scenario...I'm driving along the NJ turnpike at 65mph and get hungry. I want to know how to get to the nearest italian food restaurant. I can voice command "Italian Food" but basically that just enables icons on the screen if there are any nearby. Is there a command that will find the nearest one then map a route for me, or do I have to pull over to the breakdown lane to use the touchscreen?

First, what Navi unit do you have???

Usually, you can select the POI of interest and then ask for a route to it. If you have the Eclipse nav unit you can wire it to work while driving, by grounding the parking brake signal wire.
