Here's a quick pic of my iPod install in GS center console. It is wired to the Eclipse iPod adapter. The white wires allow me to swap out to a standard A/V connection and use VTR input on the Eclipse nav. That way I can play videos from the iPod.

very cool. How's the eclipse adapter? Which headunit do you have?

I have the AVN6600. The Eclipse iPod adapter works flawlessly, provides full control of the iPod audio, but no control of the video. All the audio menus come up on the navi screen.
That DLO thingy is nice, but I'd rather see Eclipse provide video support on the next version of the adapter, I'll be glad to swap it out.

WHy don't YOU do this mod then? Seems like it is a good choice if you can't use the Eclipse adapter, and you might wind up with more features anyway, thru the VTR input. The vertical mounting of the iPod in that unit might present a problem, but there has to be a way around that.
