Viper. It took several hours (about 3-4) to get it installed though. Mine was $450 installed.

Anything DEI, Avital, Clifford, Viper, they are all the same and are all the best. www.directed.com
Hint--since Avital isn't as well known a brand as Clifford or Viper, you can usually get it cheaper and it's the exact same alarm. I got a 4400, 2-way, remote start all the same bells and whistles but WAY cheaper....good luck...D

You will find that most members here have DEI products. The most popular one seems to be the Viper 791xv. That's what I have. I've been having problems with it though.

If you were closer I could hook you up.I am DEI factory trained. The ONLY difference with the Viper and the other DEI 2 way remote start alarms is that Viper has a Lifetime warranty where the others dont.I can do the Hornet 564t or the Avital 4400 for 300 installed.

Anything by DEI is the bomb.

I'm an installer, and the alarm I have in my own car is a 791xv. Retail on my setup was 8-900$ but I put in the battery backup, motion sensor, tons of extras like fuel door pop, trunk pop, ECT.

Although the new spread spectrum is also great. at least 1 mile of range. We tested the 1 we've done so far out alot further than that, and it was still starting.

Tip: don't sit around staring at the installer all day even after they warn you it will be a 5-6hr install. It drives me insane when people sit around and just look at me all day long, or call and ask "is my car ready" after 2 hrs, when I warned them it was going to take 7-8 hrs when they dropped it off.

Why add a aftermarket system when your vehicle a almost impossible to steal????? what is the point so it go beep ? inside your key it has a immobilizer to prevent hot wiring, by adding a startup type of alarm you'll have to bypass or have a immobilizer place in the vehicle which in turn make it more easier to steal than ever instead of making it safer !!!!!
second you're loosing out on the window down feature ( without the factory alarm ) by pessing unlock and hold it down. Is your ride you decide!
