Can anyone here help me with my alarm problem? I had someone install an after market alarm to my 93 gs300. The alarm has a remote start feature I thought was pretty cool. But the problem starts when you push the door lock button on the door and arm the alarm. If you try to use the remote start the factory alarm gos off. Now the person that intalled the alarm has no clue why the power wire looks like it has been arcing in the harness. My thought is you have to bypass the factory alarm before you install the after market one. Can any one PLEASE help me with this!

As far as the factory alarm is concerned, there should be a disarm wire on the car that needs to be hooked up so it will disarm the factory alarm. If your installer didn't know that, then he shouldn't be doing installs, that's common to have a disarm wire.

For the power wire issue, it sounds like the power wire needs to be bigger, or the fuse upgraded, and make sure its not grounding out anywhere.
