Unhappy Factory Alarm Key!

hello...so sadly my sc300 came with one dealer key(non alarm) and one cheap key just made outta metal so the truck driver wud use that one when he brought it over here...anyways not the point....this mite be a stupid question but...if i have a spare alarm key from a sc400 lyring around...cant i take it to the dealer and they program it so my sc300??????? i mean there tellin me its like 250 for a key and another 200 to program it...anyone done this before or know? thanks a lot fellas

93's i believe needed a receiver program chip and 2 matched key sets as a replacement for one missing remote key... hella expensive...

mine is a 1994 sc300 so what do i do? take to dealer and say heres my key make it work.??

jan94 and newer SC's can have separate keys purchased and programmed at the dealer...

On the 94 SC300 you definetly must replace the receiver & keys at the same time to obtain extra keys. They come as a matched set only from the dealer

i dont need extra i need an alarm key...i have to open the door by turning my key rite now...i was the alarm button key...my dad has an extra one for his sc400...so i thought id grab that and head on over to lexus and see what they can do
