AVN2454 wiring...?
Ok, i picked up an Eclipse AVN2454 for my fiancee's Rav4 from another club lexus member. I bought the toyota harness for it, and starting soldering my wires. I got the power, ground, etc, and rear speaker wires done, but the front speaker wires are confusing. The wiring label on the top of the headunit says the standard gray gray/black and white white/black wires... but the wires i see on the deck harness are standard gold and silver speaker wire. Which is which? Im confused.. i can take a picture if it helps...

When I installed my AVN5510, front and rear speakers wire go straight in the toyota harness..

I mean the colors dont match up... on the toyota harness, it says gray and gray/black and white and white/black... pretty normal. The label on the deck also says the exact same thing... but there are NO gray gray/black or white white/black wires on the harness for the deck... there are what appears to be the front speaker wires, but they are clear wires with silver and gold wire inside... ill take a pic...

Note... the left gray connector is speed signal, parking brake, and reverse...
The far right connector is green and purple wires, which are the rear speakers...
The center connector, the wires on the left are your power, ground, ignition, remote, and illumination... now see the gold and silver wires? those im deffinite are the front speakers... but i have no idea which is which..
Does anyone have a pin-out of the AVN 2454? or a picture of THEIR clean harness that i use for reference? because im sure these have been replaced, otherwise they would be gray and white wires... so if i had a picture of someone elses harness... i could figure out what is what.. and wire it to my toyota harness...
hope that helps explain things... thanks!

BTW... this is going into my fiancee's RAV4, not my GS...
I think all i really need is a picture of an untouched harness for the eclipse deck

The silver wires are your Left Front speaker wires, the top is the "+", the bottom is the "-". The gold wires are your Right Front speaker wires, again the top being the "+", and the bottom being the "-". I just followed a standard Toyota harness.

So basically.. i dont even need the toyota harness i just bought.. hah! The stock harness in the car will plug right into this head unit.... wow, im retarded, i didnt even look. So all i really need to do is hook up the speed sensor signal, reverse, and brake.. and put the antenna in of course, and the other plugs that are already in the car will plug right in.. Thats pretty awesome.

don't you love owning a Toyota now?
I installed my old AVN6600 in my buddy's 2007 4 Runner and I didn't need to break a sweat with any wiring PLUS his speed pulse wire was RIGHT behind the radio which was another plus.

i guess it might be just as easy on an 03 RAV4... my only other questions is how i should wire the e-brake wire... just ground it or what? speed signal is pretty self explanitory, i gotta grab a wiring diagram and find it for this car... and the reverse signal.. i dont need to wire that unless i do a camera right? and i dont plan on doing a camera.. yet.. sounds like this will be pretty straight forward.. any other help you can provide would be awesome thanks!

hey rtgs400,i sent you a pm about the front speaker wires. i had to take out all four which i guess were the regular gray and gray/black and white and white/black cos they were too short. i replaced bthem with 2 golds and 2 silvers.
as rich001 explaind,The silver wires are your Left Front speaker wires, the top is the "+", the bottom is the "-". The gold wires are your Right Front speaker wires, again the top being the "+", and the bottom being the "-". I just followed a standard Toyota harness.
good luck
hope you enjoy the unit.
