I have moved to Europe and brought my 2005 RX400h with me. The navigation says "cannot read disc" when I tested a "Europe" disc.

Which disc do I need to make the navigation work?

you need a european lexus genration 4 COMPUTER NOT JUST THE european disc THE DVD MAPS ARE REGIONALIZED just like the dvd home movie players so they will only play the dvd that the computer was made for. there is no universal lexus gps computer. the european computer has to look like the one in your jack compartment. the tns200 and tns 300 computer models wont work. it needs to use a disc that loks like your 2005 model with 9 color dots around 7 oclock. pm me for a lead on getting a european computer that will work.

Alternatively, someone suggested I burn the European disc in US format - would that enable my lexus computer to read the disc and function?

I'm thinking of bringing my 2006 400h to London when I move. Does anyone have any further information on this topic? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

so far no luck converting usa computer to read european dvd map. tried making hybrid map from usa firmware and european map but it wont read the map. the only anwser so far is to buy european lexus or toyota computer.

Forget it Amini.
You can't bring your American Lexus with you to London because you won't be able to drive it at all.
Cars in LOndon has the steering weel on the right so you won't be able to drive the car they won't even register that car.

i dont know about what you wrong above. But when i was visiting my family in London i saw quite a few american cars rolling around there. And none of hem were RHD! so i duno

Torben, Do you still have the problem ?
I know a person who can make European navigation disk with region 1 code. Costs like 70 EURo and this works!
