Default Anyone have Pinout for 1998 SC400 with Nak?

Also, is it easier/better to tap into the connector at the headunit, or at the changer?

Head unit. Less wiring involved.

If you have a generic Player (in my case a Zune) the only output is a earphone jack. In this case there are 3 outputs, left, right, ground. Do you wire left to CDL+, right to CDR+, and Ground to both CDL- and CDR- ?

it should be alright, but i recco to put it on an "always on" 12v since it has been reported to pop when you turn the car off without turning the array off first.

This will work on any CD changer or any audio source for that matter as long as you can tap into the pre-amp level inputs...

Good info. for the board though...
Anybody try this with a 4PDT relay? I noticed AlliedElec.com has them in 12V relatively inexpensive. I have a 2000 LS400 Nak. From what I read in the threads, the hardwiring would likely occur near the CD changer rather than the Amp on this vehicle. Correct?

I've used it dozens of times in the past, that is why I recommended it. Basically it's just 4 (SPDT) relays in one housing. Just another way to skin the cat...

http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/Pro...3609006AEA617F

also this looks like a good looking switch to put in our grey lexus interior
http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/Pro...3609005016E17F

or this
http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/Pro...3609007BE8617F

although im not sure if these would work as one is on-none-off and another is on-none-on
which one is the one i need for the switch?

also i have a 2001 GS300 w/ Navi but NO ML (only pioneer stock system)
where do i tap in? HU or CD changer?

i cant confirm if that relay will work since i havent actually used it, if someone does end up ordering it please post up if it works, im sure some people will be appreciative.

when i first made this setup 4pdt relays were hard to come by, and the ones that did were rather expensive and called for a PCB mount

Talking Pinout for 2000 LS400 with Nakamichi?

Pure Drifter:

I've been reading this thread for a while but not replying, and I'm amazed with your ingenuity on this. How did you ever figure out how to do this??

Anyway, I've got all the parts I need now and I'm going to attempt this on my Black/Black 2000 LS400 with Nakamichi. I'm like the guy up above though; I've looked through this thread and maybe I just missed it or didn't recognize it, but do you happen to know the wiring/pinout for my vehicle? That's the only element I'm missing and I don't know where else to get it. I know I'll be tapping-in behind the head-unit, but what wires to hook-up I'm still not sure of. Thanks in advance!

BIG thanks to PureDrifter for the work that went into this.

Just finished my install yesterday and it sounds FANTASTIC. Blows all other aux input methods away.

Add another 2000 GS300 to the list.

Thanks again PD!
