Amp location
I'm preparing to do this install on my 98 GS 400 with the nak system. I believe that my amp is located in the trunk but is this the only amp or at least the amp I need to do this install?

Hey guys,
Quick question... Would this work on something that isn't preamp? Id like to hook this up to a normal headphone jack... quick response would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Also, the CD changer reads ERR, yet it is still powered... I believe its a CD reading issue... will this setup work regardless? Its a 1993 LS400...
Thanks for the quick replies... impressed.

Just a note for the second gen GS with Pioneer. You dont need a working changer. When you send the singnal from what ever source your using it will take over on the radio side as well. You still wire it in the same. May work for other models as well.

yes, my mistake applies to you as 2nd gen GS and 2.5gen LS share the same audio system

you wired yours differently, i made the same mistake the first time i installed my system, you intercepted the lines incorrectly, most likely you cut the main signal outputs from the head unit into the amp which isnt really the cleanest way to do it.
