hey guys does anyone know how i could make a DVD or something that would play on my PS2 as a movie or a DVD player as a movie if i only have a regular CD burner not a DVD burner? what programs should i use? how do you make those DVD menus? or would it just play..?

the PS2 won't play burned VCDs period, and i'm guessing it won't play burned DVDs either...

i'm kinda in the same situation with my Alpine DVA-5205. it has a single laser pickup and i havent' had success with any CD-R media i've tried. anyone who has made a burned VCD work on the Alpine please LMK...

a good site for VCDs is www.vcdhelp.com you can use most programs, EZCD creator, NERO, etc. to make VCDs plus menus.

Sometimes it also depends on what kind of cd you use. Some players work with diffrent color backing like silver, blue, green etc....Thats just from my experience.

are u sure ur finalizing the cd's ur burning? because if u dont do that then it wont play for sure, just a thought
