Native Resolution of Nav Screen?
Hi All,
I posted a similar question in the 2nd Gen IS Forum and no one had any answers. Here's a short description of what I've done....
Car : 2007 IS 350 (Sport, NAV)
I put a computer in last weekend (pulled from my prior car) with a DC-DC Power Supply. I bought Nav-TV to input a RGB Signal via a composite input.
I've been having a tough time nailing down a screen resolution on the computer (XP SP2) that looks clear and does not flicker, etc... I'm using a program called Powerstrip that allows you to tailor the resolution and even create custom drivers for unknown screens.
My question is if anyone has any information regarding the native resolution and refresh rates for the 2007 Nav Screens. I'd have to think its the same regardless of the models. I've heard that the 07 screens were higher in resolution than previous years, but I can't confirm.
I've looked on the Lexus TIS site and there is no mention of the specs I need in the Service Manuals, etc...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The problem is that you are using a composite to RGB signal...it will never be all that clear. What you need to do is convert the VGA signal into RGBs signal. Google "MacPrius" and you'll find out what parts you will need to do this properly...the Toyota system is the same as the Lexus system.
