I wouldn't recommend it. The xmax is 6.9mm. There are 6.5" mid-basses with more excursion than that. The ED sub linked earlier has much better specs. It also gets great reviews from the users.

The TC7 10" that I linked to in an earlier thread is a great sub. That model in a larger format (12's and 15's) has been around for years with nothing but happy users.
