Trunk water leak/radio cuts out.
Hummmm, how could those be related?
I happened to notice water lapping under my power amp a while back. Been a tech for thirty years and I know that wet tronics don't work. Dilly dallied till now before pulling the trunk liner off and finding out where the water was coming from. Turns out that there is a little plastic hose that runs from the gas filler cavity drain straight down to the bottom of a 12 inch deep cavity under the amp. It has a plastic fitting on it and it is supposed to be pushed through a rubber gromet in the bottom of the cavity. Mine was pulled out and debris had plugged the hole. When it filled it must have held a gallon of water. My radio would cut out on corners and when I hit serious bumps. Who knew? Well, you do now.
You have to remove the the CD changer to get down to the cavity.
Good luck
John
