CarPC project for my IS250
Just started my CarPC project for my 07 IS250. Will use it mainly for media (music/video/DVD), navigation, and bluetooth. May incorporate ODB-II and wireless internet in the future. Bought most of the parts already, but still have some things undecided.
- Replace stock HU with in-dash motorized touchscreen LCD or just mount a LCD somewhere and use the AUX input
- Use StreetDeck or Centrafuse as the frontend
VoomPC-2 Automotive Mini-ITX Case
VIA EPIA EN15000G Mini-ITX Mainboard
1GB DDR2 533MHz DIMM
Hitachi Travelstar 7K100 60GB 7200rpm 2.5" SATA
DVD/CDRW
M2-ATX 160W Intelligent DC-DC PSU
BU-353 Weather-proof GPS Receiver
Bluetooth Adapter for Cell Phone Integration
Linksys WUSB54GR Wireless-G USB Network Adapter
7" Touchscreen LCD
What do you guys think??

Everything looks pretty good. I ended up using a lcd and using the audio out from the board to go to my amps. I used Frodoplayer as a front end for about a year or two and just recently switched to Roadrunner. I thought I was going to use mine for video and gps...but i rarely use it for those purposes...though the gps does come in handy every once in a while. It is nice to have 8000 mp3s instead of carrying around 300 cds. But now at 8000 mp3s...it gets kinda hard to find a certain song.
As far as hardware, I have a M1000, M1-ATX power supply, and a holux gps receiver running iGuidance.

That sounds really nice. Eventually, I want to hook up a pc in my RX300 so I can hook up my connection to a Slingbox, www.slingmedia.com, so I can watch DirecTV via wireless.
