Will Nakamichi amp work with the pioneer radio on a GS400?

no the 98 GS AND LS PIONEER SYSTEM is first year of digital controls in the amp for base treble volume FADE etc and the nakamichi is last with analog controls in the head unit of all the speakers. also the plugs are different and no space to instALL IN DASH LIKE PIONEER. THE NAKAMICHI AMP IS INSTALLED IN TRUNK RIGHT QUATERPANEL AND YOU HAVE NO WIRING BACK THERE TO PLUG IT IN. that is why the navigation for 98 to 2000 gs and ls navigation only could be ordered with pioneer system. in 2001 the mark levinson amp also went digital so navigation systems could be ordered with pioneer or mark levinson. also the next thought would be you could you upgrade to mark levinson amp in the 98 gs and ls but the ohms of the speakers went to 8 in the doors and 16 ohms for the sub so not just a swichable amp only. you would have to change the speakers to mark levinson also.
