I am looking for a dvd option to hook up to my avic-d3. I am considering the ps2 because it plays dvd, cd, and it play games too. I would like to know what is the quality of the dcd video using the ps2

 

uhh the d3 plays dvds...it has divx codes too...

 

The PS2 has comparable composite outputs with the same video quality of any other DVD plater using composite outputs. You can use component outputs as well, but very few car audio LCD monitors accept component.

I've used both PS2 and PS2 Slim in my cars before. Mostly for games, but the DVD picture was comparable to my actual head unit or DVD changer video.
