Default Pop in speakers

I keep hearing this "pop" in the rear speakers whenever I turn them on, especially when I first turn on the car. An amp is connected to them. What could be the problem?

Question Exactly When?

If the "pop" happens when U turn the key off, try shutting down the stereo before turning the car off. If it happens when U turn on/off the system itself, check your ground wire on that amp. Do U have noise anywhere else in the system? Typically, an improperly grounded system will demostrate both ignition noise as well as a power related "pop". Also consider turning the gain down on the amp. Good luck troubleshooting!
