Alpine Type R comps in GS doors

Alpine Type R comps in GS doors
Does anybody know if the 6.5 alpine type r components (SPR 17S) will fit in the doors of a second gen GS. I will be using mdf mounts, but I am concerned about depth issues. Thanks

No problem in rear.
In front, you really need to measure depth, then understand where you will position the speaker relative to the window when in the full-down position. My suggestion is to make a baffle out of a double layer of cardboard and test your positioning with the window all the way down. Then make your MDF baffle. If you don't have the speakers, try to mock up the basket to test fit before buying.
