I'm breaking out my heavy artillery for my next install
This has been in my closet for years.
This is for my next install. I hope my charging system can provide the power for it. Its going to power my entire system
Specs -
340 WRMS x 4 @ 4 ohms
520 WRMS x 4 @ 2 ohms
1060 WRMS x 2
Efficiency 80%
Damping Factor 400
S/N Ratio 100db
34"L x 11.4"W x 2.4"H
Here's a pic with the bottom plexi off

Here's the top...familiar?
I have a few more old rare limited edition amps, but i'll use this one since I like the others more and want to save them.

Yeah, MS1000
I'm still likely going to power my front 3-ways and one 10..well kinda stumped between subs. I'm either going to use a single Crystal CMP10 or my 2 PPI pro10's
My front 3 ways consists of a 4" mids, 1" tweeters and 8" woofers, and I've been using them for years with 200 wrms per side. The mids/tweets are HP'ed at 250hz (3k point between mid/tweeters) and the woofers are BP'ed at 50-250hz - I may have to cross over the MB's at a higher point with this much power though. It pretty much means that power handling depends on the frequency that its playing (besides thermal limits).
Its pretty efficient for an A/B amp, the fuse rating is 200 amps though

Thats sweet man. I just picked up my set of Scanspeak revelators today.. and I'm going to order some Seas tweets soon.
Man, I got my 0ga cable from Knuconceptz.. the box weighed 30lbs. I"m running two cables: power and dedicated ground. NOt sure how its all gonna fit under the carpet!
So which car is this going into? The ES? You had such a beautiful install on that earlier.. so I hope not!
I'm gonna start a build thread.. but I've still got tons more parts to order. Tweets, speaker cable, some kind of DSP/crossover, and lots of sound deadening..

Surfboard.
Love the closeuup of the internals - looks like a pic of New York City.
To the question of what kind of speakers can you run with that kind of power, the answer is "most good ones". Remember that you don't necessarily get to USE all of that power - with clean power, you wind up being limited (anyway) by the SPL being produced - you can only get so loud. But you can put a very clean dynamic attack pulse into the speaker's voice coil, well above the speaker's RMS power rating. That's what the power gets you.

MAn, WHAT was wrong with your system before that you ALREADY need to do another impossibly beautiful install?
I wish you lived out here so you could help me with mine.
EDIT:... you're in so cal.. If you're game, I'm tempted to drive down there and ask for help

Haha I'm sure you are man, thats whats most important. I wish you had an LS, so you could do awesome installs on it, and then I could pay you to build some stuff for mine
Know any friends with an LS that might lend it to you for a few days? hahah.
