Default SC3 Dash work

I was sick and tired of having the little hole under the radio.

So I set out to remedy that problem. It still need some work, but I'm pretty happy with how I did on my first attempt at custom work.

Gonna have my custom guy do a little finishing work on it before we put some paint down on it.

More pictures to come

hummmm, duraglass my favorite, unbelievable strength. All you need now is a little bondo, primer and paint...

Good work so far.
What color are you painting it?

Yes it is a royal pain. I hate how our custom guy does it and makes it look easy.

I'm going to try to match the stock color as best I can when I paint it.

Still got a bit of sanding to go

And here it is all done and back in the car. Now I just need to take the lame wood grain off and get the climate controls and shifter surround painted.

Very nice job. Are you using primer and paint from a spray can? If you are, is it SEM's and what color?

not sure on the primer, just regular ol primer that we have at our shop for when we do stuff like this.

the color was actually done by a guy that we know who matches paint. i gave him my cupholder and he mixed up a can of paint to match.

The dash work looks phenomenal. Awesome match! So he mixes the paint and uses an air gun?
