Proud new owner of a 1993 5 speed sc300 . ANyways, the car didn't come with a remote key. I know I can purchase a key off ebay but I don't know the FCC ID for it work .

i bought a car with no keys at all. i got lucky and found a guy on here who had all the locks and 2 keys from a parts car. it took a while to change out them all but it cost me about 300 bux. hit up aliga or R & J and see if they can help

 

You can go to the dealer with blank transponder keys and they will program them for you.

 

there are some from ebay that will come with instructions on a DIY programming. my girl's car had the same problem, no remote. we got a uncut key with remote from ebay, took it to a lock smith, got the key cut and programed the remote. i am not sure if this can be done to your car. however; i recommend you search, that way you can get the best deal.

 

93's don't have a RFID or transponder in the Key, all you need is a key that will fit in the ignition, you can get a key made online (I did from a CL vendor) or at the lexus dealership as long as you have the title to show them. They can cut the key from your VIN number.

To get the remote lock to work do a search but you ahve to change out the crystals in the actual comptuer in the car somewhere.
