Lex, just in case you didn't know about them, you can run an LOC and still hook amps up to your HU. Head over to carsound.com and go to the forum moderated by David Navone. He makes the best LOC's on the market IMO. You should be able to get his email adress on that site...

I actually have a Navone piece used for a +3db bump on subwoofers. He seems like a good guy but there's ALOT to hide. I took apart the piece and ALL of the chip markings have been sanded off. Wonder why.
Anyways, best LOC or LLC's as I call them (Line Level Converters) are at the link below.

No part numbers sanded, no questionable "hobbyist" workmanship. Best I've found.

What exactly is your audio equipment setup? LLC's are used on amplified signals to line level signals, signals which won't overload an aftermarket amp.

Percy, I'm not at all high tech here. All I'm trying to do is replace my stocks Pioneer Tape Deck without CD Changer to an in-dash mp3 player. I used connectors and spliced into the factory harness so nothing was cut. It was extremely simple for the battery/acc/ground/4 speakers. But the sub has me a little confused. It's a **cough** Jensen 5010 MP3 player. I know, I know. But it has everything the wife needs for a cheap price. Anyway, from what I understand, the sub is the only thing in my '92LS400 that runs off an amp, and the radio has sub out rca jacks. but there is a 5 wire connector which powers the sub. how do I convert those 5 wires down to 2 rca jacks?
Also, if you could please help me out with something more important because the 4 speakers sound good enough for her to make the sub low priority. Is there something special that needs to be done to get the power antenna working with the new radio? I hooked up the new lead to what I believe is the antenna lead from the factory harness. But I get nothing now. Any ideas?
Thanks a ton.

Topshelf,
Go to your local Lexus dealer and ask for copies of the EWD for the '92 LS4 that you have. (Electrical Wiring Diagrams) The better dealerships will let you copy them for FREE. Otherwise, it's just plain (and sometimes dangerous) guesswork. With the EWD's on hand, it takes 90% of the guesswork and danger factor out of there.
